My fascination with computers began in the 1980s, at the same time I was building a professional reputation as a magician. I competed at conventions across the country and performed live shows throughout the Midwest with my assistant and wife, Rogene. During this time, I developed a deep appreciation for precision, reliability, and technical mastery — skills that would later become essential in providing professional computer repair and IT support in Lincoln NE and Omaha NE.

Rogene and I continue to perform select magic shows each year, but much of our focus has been on supporting our children and helping them develop their own talents. Vincent performed magic shows in seven different states before the age of 16. My daughter Rebecca became the youngest girl to perform at the International Brotherhood of Magicians convention in Reno, Nevada. My son Luis G has assisted Vincent in more than 80 live performances, gaining valuable experience both on stage and behind the scenes.

In 2001, I launched Magickits.com, a nationally recognised magic shop serving magicians and collectors throughout the United States. My work in magic has led to appearances on national television and participation in the award-winning Netflix documentary “Make Believe.” Over the years, I have mentored numerous students, many of whom assisted in live shows and stage productions. This group eventually became known as the Magic Mafia group, and several members continue to perform professionally today.

I am honored to be considered the “Godfather” of the Magic Mafia and take pride in helping young performers develop their skills and confidence. In 2015, I received the prestigious “David P. Abbott” Award from my peers in the Omaha Magical Society and the Society of American Magicians in recognition of my contributions and achievements in the art of magic.

In the late 1980s, I made the decision to combine my two passions — my work and my assistant. Rogene and I chose to travel less, allowing me to focus on learning computer technology and developing technical expertise. The Computer Magician has been serving customers since 1995. The Computer Magician LLC was formed in 1998. Today, with eight children and three of them actively working in the business, The Computer Magician remains a fully family-owned and operated company dedicated to providing reliable computer repair and IT support.
